Meet the Team ......

Caroline Bailey

National Hunt Trainer

Gerald Bailey

Point to Point Trainer

Gerald runs his own dairy farm and has always been an avid supporter of racing. He buys and sells a few National Hunt Stores and trains the point-to-pointers (with a little help from his wife!)

Tom McClorey

Amateur rider, head lad  and assistant trainer

Tom is a huge part of the team at Holdenby. Before he came to work here he had been very successful show jumping at junior level. He is therefore excellent at educating the horses in both flat work and jumping. He has ridden many point to point and Hunter Chase winners . Tom finished the 2016 season as leading point to point rider in the Midlands Area.  He now has his Cat B license and has ridden winners against the professionals.

Tom and Jess had their first child, Charlie on the 9th September so many congratulations.

Joe Morris
Joe started work for us in October 2019. He had previously worked for Jonjo O'Neill and Kim Bailey and has ridden a few winners. He took a break after an injury but the lure of racing has encouraged him back!
He schools the horses with Tom

                         David White

David has worked for us since the Summer of 2013. He has given up riding and now works in the yard. He helps me with the schooling and keeps an eye on the general welfare of the horses.  He is a great part of the team and enjoys going racing.

Eilisha and Dyliev

Eilisha Morris

Eilisha has worked for us since December 2018. She had been in racing for a few years and then took a break. She rides out and canters and enjoys doing some work in the school. She got married to Joe in June 2019. Eilesha is currently on Maternity leave.

Joe and Eilisha had their first child Callie in April. Not easy in the Covid times but all well. Congratulations

Part time Staff

Ellie Warner Jones

Ellie has been riding out for us for the past year. She lives locally and has her own horses which she  rides eventing and team chasing. She rides work and started schooling last Spring. She really enjoys working the racehorses.

Lily Fitzpatrick

Lily has recently moved to live near Spratton. She gained plenty of experience riding out for Alan and Lawney Hill for several years. She has since done a cookery course and plans to fit in riding out with her cooking!
